    This list provides some reading suggestions for each age group this summer. If you have questions about any of the books, please talk to one of the library staff.

  • Getting Started Jun 13, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM Library,

    Join us for the first summer reading session. We will go over the schedule, talk about the programs, explain the activities and play BINGO! A great way to get started for summer reading.

    Come join us for a presentation from Forest Park Nature Center. They will have live animals with them and will talk about how animals build their shelters. This will be a great opportunity to see some animals up close.

    When scampish but good-hearted German shepherd Charlie dies, he is sent back to Earth to perform one good deed before gaining admittance to heaven. This animated musical, set in 1930s New Orleans, follows Charlie's attempts to rescue a young orphan girl who has been kidnapped by his former cronies.

    Always a favorite event, you never know which animals will come to the library for a visit! In the past, we have had tigers, porcupines, chinchillas - lots of different types of animals from different parts of the world. Plan to visit us that day to learn about the animals and see them up close.

    Come see a great exhibit about butterflies. Learn about the life cycle of the monarchs, see how they migrate from Mexico to our backyards, and see some live monarchs. This is a great experience for all ages, so be sure to join us.
